Holford & District Village Hall

The Village hall hosts many activities ranging from Art Group to Table Tennis. It is registered as a Charity and is governed by a committee drawn from members of the village.

A Coffee Morning is held on the first Saturday of some month to help raise funds for the upkeep of the hall. The Coffee Mornings are run in turn by members of the Village Hall Committee. Apart from Tea/Coffee and cake there are stalls selling second hand books, produce and craft items.

The hall has car parking and disabled toilet facilities. Chairs, tables, cutlery, crockery and glasses are also available.

The village hall refurbishment.  More news…

Funding of £497,000 has now been secured towards the project estimate of £551,000.

£8,000 of the Hall’s own reserves have also been allocated to the project, making a total of £505,000.

The building project went out to tender to four contractors in March.  The tender prices we received were, however, significantly above our project estimate.

We are now in discussions with the contractors and architects to try to find a way to meet our objectives. All options are being considered, and our fund-raising efforts continue.

The start date for the project may now have to be put back to late summer.  We will know more in a few weeks' time and will update this section of the website.

A summary of the planned changes to the hall can be seen on this page. If you have any questions, please contact Alan Falkingham on 741711.
